Plumbing Estimator

We're seeking an experienced Plumbing Estimator with previous Australian experience for a 100% home-based role in the Philippines. This opportunity is fully employed with paid leave and great benefits.

Our leading Australian client is looking for an experienced Plumbing Estimator with prior Australian project experience to join their team and WFH in the Philippines. You will play a key role in preparing tenders and supporting the team on major projects in Australia. You will report directly to the Directors and be an extension of the broader project team, being able to work autonomously having prior similar experience.

Our Client

Our client is a specialist plumbing contractor who work across a mix of above and below ground services, including a comprehensive range of hydraulic, civil drainage work, wastewater and fire systems. They are a long established business who have grown consistently, their projects range from $3M to $21M in value and they work with many leading tier one contractors on major developments that include data centres, high-rise apartments and large institutional buildings.

Requirements

• 2+ Years prior Australian project experience
• In-depth understanding of commercial construction industry
• A demonstrated understanding of working with architectural plans and developing cost estimates
• A demonstrated ability to clarify project specifications
• A solid understanding plumbing materials and specifications
• Understanding of hydraulic and civil plans (sewer , stormwater, trade waste, water supply, gas supply, rainwater , fire service)
• Proficient in Planswift
• Ideally proficient of working with AutoCad / shop drawings

Duties include:

• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Complete take-offs, cost estimates, and detailed quotations.
• Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Assist with tender submissions and project handovers
• Work closely with management to ensure budgets and scopes align
• Utilise Planswift to complete tenders
• Packaging the quotes ready for client submission
• Use bluebeam to mark up drawings

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• Previously worked in a similar Plumbing Estimating / Quantity Surveyor role on Australian projects
• Have your own home office setup and laptop
• Strong understanding and experience in reading plans and architectural drawings
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
