Job Brief

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards. This role requires a certified professional with extensive experience in financial analysis and reporting, capable of managing complex accounting tasks and providing strategic insights based on financial data.

Responsibilities:

· Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial reports in line with Australian standards.

· Audit and Compliance: Ensure all financial practices are in compliance with statutory requirements and undergo regular audits.

· Tax Planning: Develop effective tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with all tax obligations.

· Strategic Analysis: Analyse financial data to support the management's decision-making process and recommend strategies for financial optimisation.

· Stakeholder Reporting: Communicate financial insights and risks to stakeholders to aid in corporate planning and performance evaluation.

Requirements:

· Experience: Extensive experience in financial reporting and tax planning.

· Software Proficiency: Expertise in Xero, XPM, and MYOB.

· Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Australian accounting and tax laws.

· Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse financial data and prepare reports that meet corporate and statutory standards.

Desirable:

· Certification: Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) status required.

· Proven track record in proactive leadership within financial departments.

Software Proficiency:

· Xero

· XPM

· MYOB

Education:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification is mandatory.

Personal Attributes:

· Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.

· Proactive in identifying improvements and efficiencies.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.

· Detail-oriented with a commitment to high standards of compliance and integrity.
