Accounting Officer

The Accounting Officer – Payroll will be responsible for managing and processing the payroll accurately and on time. The role ensures compliance with statutory requirements, maintains payroll records, and supports the finance department in reconciling payroll accounts. This is an immediate start position for a detail-oriented professional with strong payroll and accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, process, and review payroll for 80+ employees on a regular schedule.
- Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, benefits, deductions, and taxes.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in the accounting and HR systems.
- Reconcile payroll-related accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate payroll reports for management review.
- Support external and internal audits related to payroll.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Assist with other accounting duties such as journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting when required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in payroll processing and accounting.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., XERO, Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of statutory deductions and labor laws.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Ability to start immediately is a strong advantage.
- Willing to work onsite and can start ASAP
