About the role

QQ English is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Cebu Central Visayas. As Accounting Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of our organisation, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. What you'll be doing

  1. Supervising and guiding the accounting team in the execution of their responsibilities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
  2. Preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations
  3. Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies to maintain the integrity of the financial records
  4. Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  5. Providing financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making
  6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient financial processes and reporting
  7. Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations, and implementing necessary adjustments
  8. Supervising, mentoring, and developing the accounting team to foster their professional growth

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory accounting role, preferably in the education or service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, reporting standards, and best practices.
  • Expert-level knowledge of MS Excel, especially advanced formulas, charts and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
  • Ability to manage and process a large volume of data within tight deadlines
