About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor/Manager to join the dynamic team at North Trend Marketing Corporation. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company's financial accounting and reporting processes. This full-time position is based in Cebu City, Cebu.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and oversee the company's financial accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies to ensure the integrity of financial data
  • Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering their professional development
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in accountancy or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as accounting supervisor/manager
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, and relevant laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
