Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Report Writer to join our team. The Report Writer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making. The role involves writing efficient MySQL queries, generating web-based reports, and developing Crystal Reports. The ideal candidate should also have front-end knowledge (HTML, CSS, Tailwind, or Bootstrap) to design and format user-friendly web reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain reports using MySQL, web reporting tools, and Crystal Reports.
  • Write optimized SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases.
  • Develop and style web-based reports and dashboards using HTML, CSS, and Tailwind or Bootstrap for clean, responsive designs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and data integrity across all reports.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues, including performance optimization.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests and provide actionable insights.
  • Document report definitions, processes, and technical specifications.
  • Stay up to date with reporting tools, data visualization trends, and front-end best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in report writing, data analysis, and/or crystal reports development is an advantage, fresh graduates may also apply.
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL (queries, stored procedures, functions, performance tuning).
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and either Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap for styling reports.
  • Understanding of database structures and relational database concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
