Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Report Writer to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business reports and dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience with reporting tools (such as Crystal Reports), and basic front-end knowledge to create user-friendly, responsive web reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain reports using MySQL, web reporting tools, and Crystal Reports.
  • Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data extraction and analysis.
  • Build and style web-based reports and dashboards using HTML, CSS, and Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all data and reports.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve report-related issues, including performance optimization.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc data requests and deliver actionable insights.
  • Document report definitions, processes, and technical specifications.
  • Stay updated on reporting tools, visualization trends, and best practices in front-end design.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience in report writing, data analysis, or Crystal Reports development is an advantage; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL, including queries, stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and either Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap for styling and formatting reports.
  • Good understanding of relational database concepts and structures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
