Building Officer

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily building operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial services, minor repairs, and pest control to ensure optimal functionality and tenant satisfaction.
 - Ensure all operational activities adhere to established policies, procedures, and budgetary constraints.
 - Conduct regular inspections of facilities and utilities. Coordinate timely repairs, monitor resource consumption, and recommend cost-reduction strategies.
 - Serve as Safety Officer by overseeing incident response protocols, coordinating with relevant departments, and ensuring full compliance with safety procedures and documentation standards. Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans. Respond to emergencies and liaise with appropriate authorities.
 - Act as primary liaison for tenant concerns related to building operations. Address service requests, communicate maintenance schedules, and ensure timely resolution of issues. Foster positive tenant relationships by maintaining a responsive and professional service environment. Support tenant onboarding and orientation regarding building policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
 - Assist in tenant construction and renovation activities by reviewing plans, inspecting sites, and resolving compliance-related issues. Ensure tenant fit-outs meet building standards and safety regulations.
 - Collaborate with the Sales Team to support the marketing and promotion of available lease spaces. Provide operational insights, assist with site readiness, and ensure prospective tenants receive accurate information regarding building capabilities and compliance standards.
 - Oversee the operations of the rooftop café, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards. Coordinate with café management to maintain service quality, resolve facility-related issues, and support promotional activities aligned with building operations.
 - Serve as officer-in-charge for key custodian and maintenance personnel. Ensure proper handling of tools, equipment, and emergency supplies.
 - Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, maintenance logs, and safety documentation. Prepare periodic reports for property management detailing building performance, compliance status, and operational updates.
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
 - Preferably Licensed Engineer (not required)
 - At least 3–5 years of building administration or property management experience in a commercial or residential setting.
 - Must have working knowledge in building systems (e.g. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.), property operations, facilities management, housekeeping services, and engineering maintenance services.
 - PCO experience is an advantage
