The Business Development and Relationship Management officer is responsible for developing strategies to drive short- and long-term profit generating opportunities through strategic partnerships (B2B, B2C) through traditional and non-traditional means of distribution.

Position Responsibilities:

  • He/she will be responsible for converting strategy into the tactical solutions to ensure alignment throughout the department.
  • The new Business Development and Acquisition team, aside from acquiring new partners will help with the market study and provide insights on how/what competitors are doing to recommend valuable and competitive products to Manulife that our customers need and want.
  • Ensure annual sales and profitability targets are met.
  • Establish, develop and launch business partnerships.
  • Take primary responsibility for the execution and integration of new partnerships.
  • Manage and strengthen partnerships
  • Market Analysis on product competitiveness. Provide insights on what/how competitors are doing and would be able to recommend valuable and competitive products that our customers need and want.
  • Ensure partners are properly trained to distribute our products.
  • Ensure processes supports service level agreements.
  • Develop, implement, promote and monitor sales programs and campaigns.
  • Develop and reinforce company communications and initiatives.
  • Work closely with leadership team and Product team to help define product needs and solutions and partner programs.
  • Track and optimize the performance of partnerships; including identifying issues as they arise, assessing possible solutions, and executing those solutions.
  • Collaborate with Corporate solutions team to maximize existing corporate clients and offer strategic partnerships.
  • Effectively execute strategies and action plans to look for new partners to help the sales team generate more sales.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any 4-year course, preferably Business or Marketing-related.
  • At least 3 years work experience in Business Development and Account acquisition preferably from a financial institution.
  • With Accounts relationship portfolio/ company acquisition portfolio and have had successful business outcome from business partnerships.
  • With existing network of clients/Corporate clients
  • Sales and Marketing-oriented
  • Has expertise in Business Proposal creation and Presentation
  • Has experience on research and business expansion for distribution channel.
  • Has developed successful strategies that have addressed the need of their organization and gave value to their customers through different financial solutions.
  • Conducted life insurance training that teaches the value of financial security.
