About the role

Isetann Department Store Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Merchandising Manager to join our dynamic team in Recto, Manila City. As Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the visual presentation and product positioning across our retail stores, negotiating with vendors, and developing buying strategies, ensuring an engaging and effective in-store experience for our customers. This is a full-time, in-office role based in our Quiapo location.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and enhance brand visibility
  2. Manage a team of visual merchandisers and ensure they effectively execute brand guidelines and merchandising plans
  3. Analyse store performance data and consumer trends to optimise product placement and visual displays
  4. Collaborate with the buying and marketing teams to align merchandising efforts with broader business objectives
  5. Conduct regular store visits and audits to ensure consistent brand presentation and compliance with standards
  6. Lead the design and setup of eye-catching in-store displays and promotions
  7. Provide training and mentorship to the merchandising team to continually develop their skills

What we're looking for

  1. 5+ years of experience in a retail merchandising or visual merchandising role, preferably within the Retail & Consumer Products industry
  2. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and enhance brand presence
  3. Strong understanding of consumer behaviour and visual merchandising best practices
  4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  5. Keen eye for detail and a creative flair for designing visually appealing in-store displays
  6. Proficient in using data and analytics to inform merchandising decisions
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions
  8. Strategic negotiations with suppliers
