Position Overview:
As the People and Culture Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining a positive organizational culture that aligns with Garlic and Peppermill's values and goals. You will be responsible for overseeing human resources, talent acquisition, and employee engagement initiatives to ensure a thriving and motivated workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:
Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing and screening to interviewing and onboarding, ensuring the selection of top-tier candidates.
Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies, universities, and industry networks to attract diverse and skilled talent.
2. Human Resources Administration:
Manage HR administration tasks, including employee records, payroll coordination, and benefits administration.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, updating policies and procedures as necessary.
3. Employee Engagement and Retention:
Design and implement programs to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Conduct regular employee surveys, analyze feedback, and propose initiatives to address concerns and improve the overall employee experience.
4. Culture Development:
Work closely with leadership to cultivate and reinforce a positive and inclusive organizational culture.
Plan and execute events and activities that promote team building, collaboration, and a sense of community among employees.
5. Performance Management:
Develop and implement performance management systems, including goal-setting, regular feedback sessions, and performance evaluations.
Provide guidance and support to managers in addressing performance issues and fostering professional development.
6. Employee Training and Development:
Identify training needs and coordinate the development of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions on topics related to leadership, communication, and workplace effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
Proven experience (at least 3 years) in human resources management, talent acquisition, and culture development, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
In-depth knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and industry trends.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Innovative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement in HR and culture initiatives.
Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant HR tools.
