QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Degree in a program of study related to Human Resources, Business Management, Sociology, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology

  2. Experience in employee relations or HR management

  3. Leadership and industry certifications will be an advantage

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  1. Understands office management procedures and control.

  2. Wide knowledge of different HR policies and methods to implement them.

  3. Knowledge of Philippine Labor Laws employment policies and regulations.

  4. Experience in a unionized company will be a plus.

  5. Has a passion for working with diverse group of people and analytical in solving labor problems.

  6. Interpersonal skills to work as a counsellor, mediator, and connector between the workforce and management.

  7. Problem-solving skills to devise solutions to issues that arise or may arise in the workplace.

  8. Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.

  9. Analytical skills to be able to assess situations and make accurate workplace observations; Good problem solving ability.

  10. Exemplifies customer service skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensures employees' compliance with company rules and regulations pertinent to contents of the company's code of discipline.

  2. Conducts case investigations; prepare documentation and recommendations for corrective/disciplinary actions; facilitates admin hearing

  3. Prepares and issues disciplinary actions, contracts, labor related notices and papers.

  4. Responsible for the follow through of issuance of employment contracts and other notices.

  5. Educates staff in each region/area on employee relations issues, using oral or written platforms, potential liabilities and possible courses of actions should legal - labor problems arise.

  6. Establish grievance channels for employees concerns and grievances.

  7. Utilize and promote established grievance channels. Come up with improvement processes for ER activities and programs.

  8. Set monthly targets for regions in conducting ER activities (e.g. ER Visit, Grievance Monitoring, LMC, etc.).

  9. Conduct consistent ER visit to check employees, identify and address concerns/grievances, promote healthy working environment, and establish professional working relationship between employees and employer.

  10. Monitors the behavioral and attitudinal problems of the employees and address an appropriate action.

  11. Communicates policies concerning Human Resources particular to employee relations.

  12. Participates and attends seminars and workshops to be updated about the changes in the employment and labor laws.
