Job Description: Appointment Setter (Outbound)

Position Title: Appointment Setter

Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time

Department: Sales / Marketing

Reports To: Outbound Team Leader

Overview

The Appointment Setter is responsible for contacting potential clients, qualifying leads, and scheduling appointments for the sales team. This role plays a key part in the lead-generation process by initiating communication, presenting basic information about the company's products or services, and ensuring a smooth handoff to the sales staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls, send emails, or conduct outreach through messaging platforms to prospective clients.
  • Qualify leads based on provided criteria and determine their interest level.
  • Schedule appointments, consultations, or demos for the sales team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions in the CRM system.
  • Follow up on warm leads and nurture interest until they are ready for a sales appointment.
  • Answer basic questions about services/products and provide relevant information.
  • Meet or exceed monthly KPIs such as call volume, scheduled appointments, and conversion rates.
  • Communicate professionally and maintain a positive brand experience at all times.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align messaging and improve lead quality.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred

  • 1+ year of experience in appointment setting, telemarketing, or sales support.
  • Experience in lead generation or customer outreach roles.
  • Familiarity with the company's industry (Telco Account)
  • Strong objection-handling and negotiation skills.
