Regional Sales Manager

The Regional Sales Manager role is a middle-management sales-oriented role, reporting to the National Sales Manager for General Trade and Regions. The role is in charge of general management, end-to-end strategy, and execution of all sales related activities in the region of scope.
Responsibilities
- Sales - drives topline sales in the region
- Collections - ensures timely collections of salespeople from trade accounts
- Profitability - ensures profitability of region by managing expenses, portfolio mix, trade discounts, and returns
- People management - manage a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs), guiding them to achieve their and the team's objectives
Scope
- Accounts: General Trade accounts and sub-distributors
Objectives / Key Outcomes
- Grow Gross Sales - Gross Sales
- Ensure Profitability - Contribution Margin
Qualifications
- 10+ years in sales, distribution, handling general trade and local key accounts
- 5+ years managing people
- FMCG background preferred, distributor or principal
