About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced E-commerce Marketing Manager to take full ownership of the company's global marketing strategy. This leadership role will oversee the scaling of both paid and organic channels, develop brand-building initiatives, and manage a small team of marketing professionals. The ideal candidate is performance-driven but also highly creative and strategic, with a passion for building brands that resonate with niche lifestyle communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance Marketing
: Manage and optimize multi-channel campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok, and emerging platforms to maximize ROI. - Brand Growth
: Develop and execute strategies to increase brand awareness, community engagement, and brand search volume. - Data-Driven Optimization
: Track, analyze, and report on performance using tools like GA4, Shopify analytics, and attribution platforms. - Creative Strategy
: Collaborate with our content team to develop hooks, creatives, and messaging that resonate with our vanlife community. - Customer Journey
: Drive improvements across funnels, from awareness to retention, ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience. - Budget Ownership
: Plan and allocate marketing budgets to maximize efficiency and meet performance targets. - Team Collaboration
: Work with operations, product development, and leadership to align marketing with launches, inventory, and business priorities.
Requirement:
- 4+ years of experience as a marketing manager with a focus on e-commerce DTC.
- Experience in Shopify
- Experience in managing a team of minimum 3 people
- Experience working with US market
- Proven track record scaling paid media while building brand equity in Google and Meta.
- Strong analytical skills with experience managing marketing KPIs.
- Creative mindset with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Passion for adventure and the outdoors is a big bonus.
Must-Have:
- Proven experience managing in-house marketing teams, rather than freelancers. This role requires a leader who has contributed to building and nurturing internal team culture, fostering professional development, and supporting long-term team growth within an organization.
- Shopify
Experience, not other DTC channels like Magento, Wordpress.. - Experience with the US market is required, as it has unique consumer behaviors that differ from other English-speaking regions.
- Performance & Growth Accountability. Experience driving e-commerce growth through paid and owned channels, with clear responsibility for revenue growth, blended ROAS, and MER.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working in-house with a single brand, offering deeper involvement in brand growth and long-term strategy (preferred over high-volume agency work).
- Exposure to TikTok Ads or other emerging paid platforms beyond Meta and Google.
- Background in content strategy, UGC, or influencer partnerships that complement performance marketing.
- Personal passion or connection to van life, adventure travel, or the outdoor lifestyle — aligning with the customer community.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
This role is directly measured on:
- Revenue Growth
– contribution to topline sales across all channels. - Blended ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)
– efficiency across marketing spend. - MER (Marketing Efficiency Ratio)
– overall marketing efficiency relative to sales. - Brand Search Volume
– uplift in branded search traffic and recognition.
