Office Assistant

Daniellah's Junkshop is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Assistant with a college degree to support and improve the day-to-day operations of the business. This role combines clerical work, basic data management, and customer coordination, making it ideal for a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on administrative experience in a small business setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer and supplier communications (phone, email, walk-ins) professionally
- Record daily transactions (purchases, sales, inventory) in spreadsheets or digital tools
- Assist in financial tracking, including expenses, receipts, and petty cash
- Organize and maintain digital and paper records (invoices, contracts, logbooks)
- Prepare simple reports for management (daily summaries, inventory updates)
- Help coordinate deliveries, pickups, and scheduling with drivers and warehouse staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office area
- Look for ways to streamline admin processes and improve record-keeping
- Support management with any additional operational or clerical tasks
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or any related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (especially Excel/Sheets)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math and record-keeping skills
- Trustworthy, organized, and self-motivated
- Willingness to work in a junkshop environment and learn the operations of the business
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with inventory systems or point-of-sale tools
- Familiarity with basic accounting or bookkeeping
- Interest in sustainability, recycling, or small business operations
Work Environment:
- Office located within the junkshop premises
- Fast-paced, hands-on environment with a small team
- Occasional fieldwork or coordination with warehouse and sorting staff
