The Hemodialysis Staff Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care to individuals undergoing hemodialysis treatment. This includes preparing patients, monitoring their condition during treatment, and ensuring the safe and effective use of dialysis equipment. The role involves collaborating with other healthcare team members to deliver high-quality care and promote patient well-being.
- Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, monitoring vital signs and patient symptoms.
- Evaluate patients' response to treatment and make necessary adjustments in collaboration with the nephrologist.
- Educate patients and their families about the dialysis process, medication, dietary restrictions, and overall kidney health management.
- Prepare and set up dialysis machines and equipment.
- Insert and manage vascular access (e.g., AV fistula, graft, or central venous catheter).
- Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatments while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Administer prescribed medications and document patient records accurately.
- Ensure proper functioning of dialysis machines and equipment by performing routine checks and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in compliance with infection control standards.
- Follow protocols for emergency situations, including recognizing and managing dialysis-related complications.
- Work closely with nephrologists, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning and case discussions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient progress and care needs.
- Document all aspects of patient care, including assessments, interventions, medications, and patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and industry standards related to dialysis care.
- Other duties and ad-hoc tasks/projects that may be assigned
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of nursing experience in hemodialysis unit
- Must be trained in Hemodialysis for Nurses - B. Braun
- With high sense of urgency
- Highly dependable, Patient and a Multi-tasker
- Self-motivated with a high emotional intelligence
- Willing to work in Arca South, Western Bicutan, Taguig City
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php28, Php30,000.00 per month
