The IT Infrastructure Supervisor is responsible for managing and supporting the technology infrastructure that powers Standard Hospitality Group's restaurants and corporate operations. This includes networks, servers, connectivity, security, Wi-Fi, CCTV, and in-store IT infrastructure. A key focus of the role is ensuring the smooth deployment of technology for new store openings and renovations, while maintaining reliable operations across existing sites. The supervisor leads the IT infrastructure team, oversees vendor partnerships, and ensures infrastructure is secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant & Store Infrastructure

  • Oversee IT infrastructure for restaurants, commissary and head office.
  • Ensure reliable store-level IT operations to support smooth guest experiences and day-to-day business operations.
  • Develop standard infrastructure blueprints for restaurant IT setups to ensure consistency across locations.
  • Monitor and optimize in-store networks and systems to reduce downtime and operational disruptions.

New Store Openings & Renovations

  • Lead IT infrastructure planning and execution for new restaurant openings, ensuring technology is installed and operational before launch.
  • Coordinate with project management, construction, and operations teams during store buildouts and renovations.
  • Oversee vendor installations of cabling, internet connectivity, CCTV, sound systems, and POS hardware.
  • Conduct IT readiness checks before store opening to ensure systems meet operational and brand standards.

Infrastructure Operations & Support

  • Manage servers, cloud platforms, and corporate office infrastructure to ensure secure and efficient operations.
  • Oversee monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades of networks, firewalls, and backup systems.
  • Provide escalation support for high-impact technical issues in both store and corporate environments.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation, diagrams, and SOPs.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and enforce IT security measures across store and corporate infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, and internal security policies.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans for both store-level and enterprise systems.
  • Monitor for vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation to reduce risks.

Leadership & Vendor Management

  • Supervise and mentor IT infrastructure staff, ensuring timely resolution of requests and incidents.
  • Manage vendor relationships (ISPs, cabling contractors, CCTV providers, POS vendors, Sound systems) and enforce SLAs.
  • Oversee infrastructure-related budgets, procurement, and technology evaluations.
  • Partner with operations, construction, and facilities teams to align infrastructure with business requirements.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience supporting hospitality, retail, or restaurant IT environments is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing new store openings, renovations, and site-level IT infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls) and enterprise systems (Windows/Linux, Mac OS, Active Directory, virtualization).
  • Familiarity with POS and restaurant technologies, CCTV systems, and network management.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and enterprise backup/disaster recovery solutions.
  • Proficiency in project management and ITIL-based service management practices.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong project management and coordination abilities, especially across multiple stakeholders.
  • Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Hands-on, problem-solving approach, especially in fast-paced restaurant operations.
