Technical Field Supervisor (OSP) – Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Field Operations Oversight

Supervise day-to-day OSP construction, installation, repair, and maintenance activities for telecom infrastructure (fiber optic, copper cables, ducts, poles, manholes).

Ensure adherence to engineering standards, safety protocols, and project specifications.

Coordinate field teams, contractors, and vendors to meet project timelines and quality benchmarks.

Conduct on-site inspections to validate workmanship, materials used, and compliance with plans.

  1. Team Supervision & Leadership

Lead and manage field technicians, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring productivity.

Provide coaching, training, and technical guidance to staff on OSP practices, tools, and safety.

Enforce discipline, attendance, and adherence to company policies among field personnel.

  1. Project Coordination & Reporting

Plan daily work schedules, allocate resources, and ensure availability of manpower, tools, and materials.

Coordinate with design, planning, and NOC (Network Operations Center) teams for project updates and handovers.

Maintain accurate field documentation — as-built drawings, redlines, work logs, and progress reports.

Report project milestones, delays, issues, and resolutions to management.

  1. Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure all OSP works comply with local telecom regulations, industry standards, and Corona Telecom guidelines.

Monitor quality of splicing, termination, testing, and installation activities.

Conduct acceptance testing and validation for completed projects before turnover.

Ensure safety compliance (DOLE, LGU, and company HSE standards).

  1. Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Supervise fault isolation, troubleshooting, and repairs for OSP-related service issues.

Coordinate emergency response teams for outages, cable cuts, or damage caused by external factors.

Ensure proper preventive maintenance schedules are followed for OSP facilities.

  1. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and LGUs for permits, right-of-way clearances, and joint inspections.

Monitor contractor performance and compliance with scope of work.

Act as point-of-contact between Apollo Global (Cebu), Corona Telecom, and external stakeholders during project execution.

  1. Inventory & Resource Management

Oversee requisition, distribution, and proper usage of OSP materials, tools, and equipment.

Monitor stock levels of critical spares (fiber cables, connectors, splicing kits, etc.).

Ensure proper maintenance and accountability of company-issued field assets.

  1. Continuous Improvement & Safety

Drive process improvements in OSP implementation and fieldwork efficiency.

Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and compliance checks to minimize risks.

Recommend technology, tools, or methods to enhance field operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30, Php35,000.00 per month
