Job Summary

The US HR Benefits Administrator is responsible for administering employee benefits programs, ensuring accurate data management, and delivering exceptional support to employees regarding their health, welfare, and related benefit inquiries. This role requires strong understanding of US benefits processes, HRIS systems—particularly Oracle HCM—and advanced analytical skills using Excel. The position also supports payroll coordination, auditing, compliance, and open enrollment activities.


Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
  • Maintain and update employee records and benefits files within the HRIS (Oracle HCM).
  • Coordinate day-to-day benefits processing, including new enrollments, changes, terminations, and claims.
  • Support Open Enrollment and eligibility updates.
  • Advise employees on benefit plan details, including Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, and other welfare programs.
  • Interpret benefits matrix codes and ensure accurate application in the system.
  • Process National Medical Support Notices and dependent verification documentation.
Employee Support & Case Management
  • Manage inquiries and resolve issues through an online ticketing/case management system.
  • Provide timely responses to benefit-related questions and escalations.
  • Assist employees with understanding payroll deductions, arrears, refunds, and pre-/post-tax implications.
Data Integrity, Reporting & Audits
  • Conduct regular audits of benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with special reporting requests, reconciliations, and ad-hoc analyses.
  • Support weekly and monthly benefits invoice processing and payment coordination.
  • Maintain records, reports, and documentation consistent with federal, state, and provider regulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Payroll to confirm accurate and timely employer contributions and deductions.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and external benefits providers to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Evaluate current benefit programs, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in US benefits administration or a similar HR role.
Required Skills (Non-Negotiable)
  • Working knowledge of HRIS, specifically Oracle HCM (required; Oracle experience preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with US employee benefits including:

  • HSA

  • Health, Dental, Vision
  • Payroll deductions (before/after tax), arrears, and refunds
  • Eligibility and Open Enrollment
  • Ability to interpret benefits matrix codes.
  • Strong Excel proficiency: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, and basic macros.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
