The Role: Human Resources (HR) Officer

The Human Resources Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing employee and labor relations, and supporting HR operations such as onboarding, HRIS maintenance, and administration. The role helps create a positive work environment while providing accurate HR support to both employees and management.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure company policies, procedures, and practices are aligned with the Philippine Labor Code and other government regulations (DOLE, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, etc.).
  • Monitor changes in labor laws and update management on necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate records for compliance audits and inspections.
  • Handle employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution in a fair and professional manner.
  • Maintain healthy labor-management relations and ensure compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements (if applicable).
  • Handle disciplinary and due process proceedings in accordance with company policies and labor standards.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive work environment
  • Facilitate orientation sessions for new employees to ensure proper understanding of company policies, values, and culture.
  • Assist in the onboarding process to ensure smooth integration of new hires into their respective teams.
  • Oversee and maintain the company's Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee records.
  • Update employee data such as personal details, employment status, benefits, and performance records.
  • Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data privacy laws.
  • Oversee HR-related reports and documentation required by management and government agencies.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. At least 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably with exposure to compliance, employee relations, onboarding, or HRIS.
  3. Knowledge & Skills

  4. Strong understanding of the Philippine Labor Code and other related regulations.

  5. Familiarity with HRIS systems and data management.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  8. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  9. Proficiency in MS Office applications and HRIS platforms.
