Job Overview:

We're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Accounting Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial planning, financial analysis, and preferably in the construction industry. You will play a critical role in supporting our company's financial health, ensuring compliance, and delivering insights that drive informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare, analyze, and present weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis and explain differences from budget or forecast.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Lead and support the monthly budgeting process.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support short-term and long-term business planning.
  • Cost Accounting & Construction Job Costing
  • Analyze project costs, labor, materials, and overhead allocations.
  • Ensure accurate job costing and allocation of expenses across projects.
  • Cash Flow Management
  • Monitor weekly cash flow and provide forecasts to support operational needs.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes with an eye on liquidity.
  • Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting operations and reporting processes.
  • Support the implementation of accounting software and technology upgrades.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally with at least 2 years in construction or a related industry (preferred).
  • Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proven experience with job costing, project accounting, and contract review.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial models).
  • Proficiency with accounting software
  • Proficiency in creating operating systems
  • Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent English
