DESIGNER, INSTRUCTIONAL, SR.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for developing high-quality courses for online and hybrid environments for the training department across the organization. It works closely with the Vice President of Training and supervises the curriculum team. The role also provides instructional design support, consultation, needs-based training, best-practices guidance, compliance support, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and conduct workshops for new content designs or programsCoordinate and implement curriculumsCollaborate with SMEs to develop online courses that meet quality assurance standardsSupervise and ensure the quality of work from the Instructional Design teamReview coursework for training requirements (internal and external)Proofread, coordinate, approve, and maintain curriculumAnalyze learner performance data to improve retentionAssess and discuss curriculum standards with stakeholdersDesign onboarding curriculum for new hiresRecommend teaching techniques and new technologiesDevelop procedures for facilitators to implement curriculumMentor or coach the Instructional Design teamCoordinate project plans and monitor curriculum team progressReview and approve course content in client LMSCollaborate with Partnerships and Business Development teamsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience required
  • Knowledge of performance-based instructional design
  • Familiarity with Adobe Captivate, Adobe Prime, and instructional design methodologies preferred
  • Sales training experience preferred
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years in a college/university or corporate training environment
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Experience working in diverse, professional team environments
  • Ability to foster inclusive environments and communicate effectively across diverse backgrounds
