About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team at J and S Clean Current Inc. This full-time role is based in our office in Ortigas Pasig City Metro Manila. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our Financial Accounting & Reporting operations, contributing to the overall financial health and success of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Preparing financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a monthly and annual basis
  • Conducting account reconciliations and analysing financial data to identify trends and discrepancies
  • Assisting with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports
  • Knowledgeable in the Philippines Tax computation and BIR Filings
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
  • Supporting the finance team in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as required

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Non-CPA or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification
  • CPA certification preferred but not required, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Accounting & Reporting industry
  • Experience in service industries or professional services firms highly valued
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, standards, and best practices
  • Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Philippine BIR regulations, VAT filings, and withholding tax computations
