Job Description:

We are seeking a courteous and professional Telephone Operator to manage incoming and outgoing calls for our organization. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct incoming calls in a prompt and professional manner
  • Transfer calls to appropriate departments or individuals
  • Take and relay messages accurately
  • Provide basic information to callers regarding company services, location, and hours
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information
  • Update telephone directory and internal contact lists as needed
  • Monitor and report any issues with the telephone system
  • Assist with administrative support tasks, such as data entry or appointment scheduling, when required

Qualifications:

  • College graduate
  • Accuracy in message taking
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • Previous experience in a telephone operator, receptionist, or customer service role (preferred)
  • Familiarity with multi-line phone systems or switchboards (an advantage)

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 3 months
