This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (30-minute unpaid break)
Total Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours

Our client is seeking a skilled Shopify E-Commerce Web Designer & Developer to redesign and optimize their e-commerce platform, creating a seamless, high-performing, and visually engaging customer experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the technical and creative direction of a growing online store while ensuring alignment with the company's brand and business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Redesign and optimize the Shopify front-end for an engaging and user-friendly customer journey.

  • Upgrade back-end systems to boost site performance, speed, and scalability.

  • Implement advanced e-commerce features such as product customization, dynamic inventory, customer accounts, and payment integrations.

  • Ensure mobile-first design and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Streamline the checkout flow to reduce cart abandonment and improve conversions.

  • Integrate SEO best practices into site architecture to drive organic traffic.

  • Maintain site security, data protection, and compliance with GDPR/privacy standards.

  • Collaborate with management to ensure the website reflects brand identity and supports business objectives.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Shopify Web Developer / Designer, ideally with e-commerce projects.

  • Proficiency with UI/UX design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).

  • Strong knowledge of SEO, web analytics, and conversion optimization.

  • Experience with payment gateway integrations and inventory management systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

  • A creative eye for design paired with solid technical execution.


Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in the retail or e-bike industry.

  • Familiarity with automation tools (CRM, email marketing platforms, customer service chatbots).
