Job description:

The Logistics and Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end movement, storage, and distribution of goods to ensure products are delivered accurately, on time, and in full compliance with distributor operations standards. This role supervises both logistics operations (fleet, delivery, routing) and warehouse management (inventory control, storage, manpower supervision) to achieve efficiency, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Management

  • Supervise daily dispatch, routing, and fleet utilization to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries.
  • Monitor driver and helper performance, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Resolve delivery-related issues such as delays, damages, or customer complaints with corrective actions.
  • Coordinate closely with Sales and Inventory teams to align deliveries with customer requirements.
  • Track and report logistics KPIs (e.g., turnaround time, fuel efficiency, delivery accuracy).

Warehouse Management

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory movement, and order picking.
  • Implement proper FIFO/FEFO practices to ensure product freshness and minimize wastage.
  • Ensure accurate stock records through regular cycle counts and inventory reconciliations.
  • Maintain warehouse safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards.
  • Supervise warehouse staff, ensuring productivity, discipline, and adherence to SOPs.

Cross-Functional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Finance for reconciliation of deliveries, shortages, and variances.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor regulations, and government requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in logistics and warehouse processes.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on logistics performance, inventory health, and manpower efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of supervisory experience in logistics and/or warehouse operations, preferably in distributor operations.
  • Strong knowledge of distribution networks, warehouse systems, and inventory controls.
  • Proficient in ERP systems or logistics software is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume distributor environment.
