Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and reliable IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills and be able to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical Support: Provide front-line support for IT-related issues such as software, hardware, network connectivity, and system performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems for end-users, including issues with desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • System Installation & Configuration: Install and configure new hardware, software, and network systems as needed, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Software Management: Assist in the installation, update, and maintenance of software applications, ensuring they are compliant with organizational standards.
  • Network Support: Assist with network connectivity issues, including wired/wireless networks, VPN setup, and troubleshooting network-related problems.
  • User Training & Documentation: Provide training to end-users on software tools, system applications, and best practices for cybersecurity. Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.
  • System Monitoring: Perform routine system checks to ensure all equipment and software are up to date, including security patches, antivirus software, and other system management tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a technical support or IT role, with a proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities, with the capability to quickly identify and address technical issues across a variety of platforms and systems.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring thorough documentation, accurate configurations, and effective issue resolution for both short-term fixes and long-term system improvements.
