Job Brief

We are seeking a skilled Philippines-based Draftsperson to support a short-term project involving the conversion of residential home designs from AutoCAD to Archicad. This role will also require updating plans to comply with recently introduced Australian residential building regulations. The successful candidate will work remotely and must have excellent drafting skills, software proficiency, and familiarity with residential construction standards.

Responsibilities

  • Convert existing residential architectural plans from AutoCAD to Archicad format.

  • Apply updates to drawings to ensure compliance with new Australian residential building regulations.

  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and version control throughout the project.

  • Collaborate remotely with the Australian team to incorporate feedback and revisions.

  • Deliver high-quality drawing sets in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in both AutoCAD and Archicad.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in residential drafting.

  • Strong knowledge of residential construction documentation.

  • Familiarity with Australian building codes and standards (strongly preferred).

  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience supporting Australian clients or residential drafting projects.

  • Understanding of recent updates to the National Construction Code (NCC) and other relevant standards.

Software Proficiency

  • AutoCAD

  • Archicad

  • File-sharing platforms (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox)

  • Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

Contract Details

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Contract Length: Approximately 2–3 months

  • Hours: Flexible, based on deliverables

  • Rate: Competitive, based on experience

Time Zone: Australian Business Hours
