We are looking for an experienced 
Mechanical Draftsperson
 to join our client's Metal Tanks team based in Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and documentation to support both live projects and product development initiatives. You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site teams to deliver high-quality outputs that meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft tank mark-ups, general arrangements, IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawings
  • Create accurate parts lists and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Develop detailed product drawings for new standardised tank ranges and assemblies (e.g., wind hoops, accessories)
  • Revise drawings based on engineer, manager, or client feedback
  • Ensure compliance with AS2304 and other relevant industry standards
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, QA, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Maintain accurate version control, revision history, and project documentation

Qualifications & Skills

  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Engineering graduate
  • Minimum 4 years' experience as a Mechanical Draftsperson, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar tools
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with AS2304 and other relevant industry standards
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and interpreting drawings
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and standards
