About the role

Western Stainless Solutions is seeking a talented Drafting Person to join our team as a remote worker. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering and design efforts. As a Drafting Person, you will be responsible for producing detailed client and shop to support the development of our innovative stainless-steel solutions.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing detailed 3d Sheetmetal model's and drawings and designs using AutoCAD inventor software
  • Designing/3d modeling commercial kitchen custom stainless-steel benches and exhaust hoods
  • Designing/3d modeling commercial custom bars
  • Preparing shop drawings for approval and manufacture
  • Preparing cad files for laser cutting and bending
  • Collaborating with production team to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate shop drawings
  • Ensuring drawings adhere to industry standards and company policies
  • Maintaining and updating technical documentation and records
  • Providing support and assistance to other team members as needed

What we're looking for

  • Relevant qualifications in engineering drafting or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, CAD Design, or equivalent technical diploma
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD Inventor
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Inventor 2023 or later versions
  • Proficient in the use of Vault Professional
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with Sheetmetal 3d modeling and manufacturing processes
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in sheet metal drafting or similar role
  • AutoCAD Professional Certification preferred
