We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team and support projects requiring innovative and compliant design solutions. The role will focus on designing and assessing structures such as hanging décor systems and mezzanine spaces, ensuring structural safety, functionality, and compliance with Australian standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industry-standard software and a deep understanding of local climate zones and wind factors affecting structural integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural design and analysis for hanging décor installations, mezzanine floors, and related structural works.
  • Calculate load capacities, stress factors, and structural safety margins in compliance with Australian building codes and standards.
  • Ensure all designs meet relevant Australian Standards for structural compliance and safety.
  • Integrate climate zone and wind factor considerations into design and structural assessments.
  • Prepare and review structural drawings, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project teams to ensure accuracy, safety, and cost efficiency.
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations during planning, construction, and inspection phases.
  • Utilise software tools such as SAP2000 and Structural Tool Kit for modelling, analysis, and verification.
  • Develop and review design documentation using AutoCAD and Archicad.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry practices, materials, and construction methods.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent qualification).

  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards (AS) and compliance requirements.
