City of San Fernando is located in the northeast section of the San Fernando Valley at the southern foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, approximately 23 miles North of Downtown Los Angeles of 2.4 square miles with 25,000 residents and is completely surrounded by the City of Los Angeles. The City is seeking a Deputy City Manager to oversee the City's economic development projects and program activities and provides administrative support to the City Manager, City Council and Department Heads. The ideal candidate must be honest and ethical, and demonstrate the highest standards of professional conduct.

Requirements Education/Experience: Candidates should five years of progressively responsible experience in municipal economic development, redevelopment agency, and/or economic development corporation is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required, Master's degree in planning, business administration of public administration is preferred.
