Role Description
As a Senior Sales and Account Executive at Thinking Machines, you will drive growth for our ChatGPT Enterprise and GenAI change management solutions. Your goal is to close meaningful enterprise-level engagements—transforming first conversations into high-value partnerships.
You will lead discovery with senior executives, articulate the business value of our GenAI and data solutions, and manage deals from qualification through negotiation and closing. You will collaborate closely with consulting partners, delivery leads, and product teams to shape solutions that address our clients' AI Transformation goals.
This role is ideal for a consultative seller who can connect technical innovation to executive-level business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Closing deals: You take qualified leads and guide them from discovery to close, ultimately securing a signed contract, with a focus on ChatGPT Enterprise, AI workshops, and AI transformation programs.
Lead generation: You don't just wait for leads—you create your own luck through personalized social and email outreach and networking.
Upselling and cross-selling: You maintain and nurture client relationships to pave the way for upsell and cross-sell opportunities and referrals.
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
Conduct consultative conversations with C-suite stakeholders to uncover business challenges and align GenAI solutions to measurable ROI.
Build and maintain multi-threaded relationships across client organizations (IT, HR, Operations, Digital).
Partner with our delivery leads to translate client needs into feasible proposals and project scopes.
Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to refine go-to-market messaging and outreach strategies.
Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets.
Provide mentorship and best-practice sharing for mid-level sales colleagues and incoming sales apprentices.
Must Have Qualities We're Looking For:
High degree of hunger and persistence—you find creative ways to reach decision-makers and keep momentum alive.
Strong executive presence, communication, and negotiation skills. You are comfortable conversing with C-level executives.
A good listener—you can read between the lines and can translate motivations and intentions into winning value propositions.
You Can Demonstrate These Through:
5+ years of experience in B2B enterprise sales, account management, or consulting, ideally in SaaS, analytics, or AI-related industries
Proven record of closing six-figure USD deals or exceeding revenue targets
Ability to break down enterprise buying cycles and manage procurement processes and various stakeholders
Familiarity with GenAI concepts (ChatGPT, prompt engineering, AI workflows) and curiosity to deepen expertise.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications that will Elevate your Application:
Experience selling transformation or consulting services (not just software).
Background in data, analytics, or technology consulting.
Track record of mentoring or training junior sellers.
Exposure to Southeast Asia enterprise markets.
