E-Commerce Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst in a fast-growing e-commerce enabler for fashion retail brands, you will play a vital role in turning complex data into actionable insights that support real-time decision-making, campaign performance, inventory planning, and sales optimization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, content, and marketing) to ensure that business decisions are backed by accurate, timely, and meaningful data—critical in the fast-paced and ever-evolving world of online fashion.
The ideal candidate is independent, resourceful, and comfortable working in a start-up environment where agility and initiative are key to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, consolidate, and organize large datasets from multiple e-commerce platforms (Lazada, Shopee, Zalora, Shopify) and internal tools
- Develop intuitive and visual dashboards, infographics, and reports for tracking brand and campaign performance
- Translate raw data into strategic insights and trends to support decision-making by top management
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as GMV, sell-through, inventory velocity, ad performance, and conversion rates
- Perform regular and ad-hoc reporting using SQL, Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau)
- Drive automation of reporting pipelines to reduce manual work and ensure data integrity
- Collaborate with e-commerce operations, content, and marketing teams to optimize campaign strategies and improve performance
- Respond to complex ad-hoc data requests with precision, speed, and accuracy
- Analyze consumer behavior, sales trends, and product performance to help brands stay agile in a competitive landscape
- Contribute to the design of data models and develop scalable reporting frameworks suitable for high-volume retail operations
- Assist in building a data-driven culture by promoting best practices in analytics across teams
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, or any related quantitative field
- At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, preferably in e-commerce, fashion retail, or digital marketing
- Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and data manipulation tools
- Experience with SQL is required; familiarity with Python or R is a plus
- Ability to synthesize large volumes of data into clear, actionable reports and visuals
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong business acumen and an understanding of e-commerce operations and performance metrics
- Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex findings for non-technical stakeholders
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work independently and thrive in a start-up or high-growth business setup
