
Key Accounts Specialist

The Key Accounts Specialist is responsible for driving sales performance within the assigned territory or channel by managing key foodservice operator accounts. This role ensures business growth by building strong customer relationships, developing account-specific plans, and collaborating with internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Research and Development, Supply Chain, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned foodservice accounts and channels within a defined geographic area or territory.
- Plan and execute account calls with specific sales objectives; prepare a weekly journey plan aligned with KPIs (Revenue, Volume, GM).
- Prepare account plans detailing all key contact matrix, business potentials and all pertinent details relating to FS operator
- Co-create menu ideation initiatives with support from internal teams (Marketing, Chef, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance) and ensure operator alignment.
- Manage sales forecasts in coordination with the operator and BSFI Planning and Supply Chain teams.
- Work closely with Food Service Sales Leader and Finance Manager to ensure healthy costing and margin management.
- Develop joint contract pricing with operators, subject to approval by Sales Leader and Finance.
- Maintain updated account receivables, ensuring timely collections.
- If assigned a trade partner/distributor, foster strong collaboration, including forecasting, sales alignment, product training, sales rep coaching, and receivables management.
- Work closely with Brand and Channel Marketing to develop business solutions that support operator success.
- Partner with R&D and QA teams on special projects and address any product quality concerns from operators.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Business Management, or Industrial Engineering
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the Food Service Industry (Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering, Food Ingredients & Beverages, Industrial Catering, Bakery, Convenience Channel and Quick Service Restaurant).
- Culinary skills (baking, cooking) are a strong advantage
- Basic project management and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace
- Strong customer orientation; agile and mobile
- High business acumen and negotiation skills
- Strong presence and effective presentation skills
- Adaptable to changing business environments
- Reliable team player with strong work ethics and values
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive, analytical, and able to make data-driven decisions
- Well-networked in the Foodservice industry
