ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR

Job Description:

Oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with relevant regulations, and adherence to internal controls. This role involves supervising a team of accountants or accounting clerks, coordinating audits, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
  • Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and other reports required by management.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff performance.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualitfications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • With at least 1 year experience in supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
