About the role

As a Legal Collection Officer at Zion 100 Lending Investors Inc., you will be responsible for overseeing the collection process. This role includes handling delinquent accounts, conducting legal assessment and implementing preventive measures against fraudulent borrowers. You will work closely with the collections team and external legal counsel to minimize risks and maximum recovery rates. Other tasks to be assigned from time to time from the superior.

What you'll be doing

  1. Reviewing and analyzing client accounts to identify outstanding debts
  2. Negotiate repayment terms, settlements and restructuring agreements for cooperative borrowers
  3. Preparing and filing legal documents, such as demand letters and court filings, to initiate debt collection proceedings
  4. Representing the company in court hearings and negotiations with clients
  5. Conduct onsite collections, coordinating with barangay officials when necessary
  6. Collaborating with the legal team to develop and implement effective debt collection strategies
  7. Handle difficult borrowers and find ways to pressure them into settling debts
  8. Filing legal cases against uncooperative borrowers
  9. Maintain proper documentation of borrower interactions and payment commitments

What we're looking for

  1. A bachelor's degree in law or a related field
  2. At least 2 years of experience in a legal collection or debt recovery role
  3. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients
  4. Excellent research and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex legal issues
  5. Proficiency in preparing legal documents and navigating court procedures
  6. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain meticulous records
  7. A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
