
Billing Assistant

Job Description:
The Billing Assistant is responsible for supporting the billing and finance team in preparing, processing, and maintaining accurate invoices and billing records. The role ensures that all billing transactions are handled in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner while providing support for customer inquiries and internal reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, issue, and verify invoices, billing statements, and related documents.
- Review billing data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with clients or internal departments.
- Maintain organized billing records and ensure proper documentation.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Assist in reconciling billing accounts and generating financial reports.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding billing issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Coordinate with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure accurate billing information.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to billing.
- Perform administrative tasks related to billing and collection processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience in billing, accounting, or clerical finance role.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and billing procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with accounting software is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
