JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including shipping and receiving raw materials and/or finished goods and maintaining inventory and associated records. People management responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas including: Filling and shipping customer orders, satisfying internal shipping requirements (technical service, vendors, etc.), ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation, receiving incoming material and routing to appropriate area or personnel, filling work orders from production, packaging assemblies and receiving into finished goods, ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged and overseeing cycle counts and reconciliation activities.

  2. Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of the department activities.

  3. Developing and maintaining departmental work instructions for all tasks.

  4. Establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules and work flow.

  5. Interpreting company policies to workers and enforcing safety regulations.

  6. Recommending measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department and work crew and equipment performance.

  7. Continuously improve warehouse operations through the use of lean enterprise practices.

  8. Conferring with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments and serving internal customers.

  9. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.

  10. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

  11. Ensures effective safety procedures, tools and record keeping are managed through site leadership.

  12. Adheres to company GOP's (good operating practices), safety procedures and all other quality processes.

  13. Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required.

  14. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Monthly Reports

  • Pallet utilization report

  • Total sales report

  • Blasting report

  • Electricity billed to fixed rooms

  • Brownout and diesel consumption and movement report

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in logistics or another related field
  • 5 years of experience working in a warehouse and 2 years of leadership experience required
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized, with excellent critical thinking and analysis abilities
