Job Summary:

The Backhoe Loader Operator is responsible for operating a backhoe loader to dig, move, load, and grade materials on a construction site. The operator ensures safe and efficient equipment use while supporting various construction tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate backhoe loader to excavate, backfill, and load materials such as dirt, gravel, or debris.
  • Inspect equipment daily and perform basic maintenance (e.g., checking fluids, tires, and controls).
  • Read and follow site plans, markings, or supervisor instructions.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
  • Assist with clearing work areas and preparing job sites.
  • Communicate effectively with ground crew and site supervisors.
  • Follow all site safety rules, including the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating a backhoe loader on construction sites.
  • Knowledge of safe operating practices and construction site procedures.
  • Valid heavy equipment operator license or certification (as required by local regulations).
  • Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
