Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
    • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
    • Create financial reports and presentations for management, providing analysis of key metrics and trends.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Manage the annual budgeting process and monitor performance against budget.
    • Provide variance analysis and assist in financial forecasting and planning.
  • Accounts Management:
    • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely billing and collections.
    • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
    • Ensure accurate posting of accounting entries in NAV software.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance:
    • Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
    • Ensure compliance with tax laws, including VAT and corporate income tax.
    • Provide accurate data for legal compliance and respond to audit queries.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, assigning tasks and supporting their development.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and promote professional growth opportunities.
  • Retail-Specific Duties:
    • Manage inventory accounting and ensure accurate stock valuations.
    • Monitor cash flow and analyze sales data to support retail operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience in accounting, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in the retail industry is an advantage.
  • Proficient in accounting software, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
