DCO Energy (DCO) will operate, maintain, monitor, and adjust the day-to-day operations for the new power plant facility, which is a combined cycle power plant (CCPP), at the Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (NSGB).

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT THE U.S. NAVAL BASE, GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA. This is a Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) approved position.

DCO Energy, LLC is an independent energy development company specializing in the development, engineering, construction, start up, commissioning, operation, maintenance and management, as well as, ownership of Central Energy Centers (CEC), Renewable Energy projects and Combined Heat, Chilling and Power (CHCP) Production Facilities. DCO was formed in 2000 with a core team of energy experts.DCO Energy (DCO) will operate, maintain, monitor, and adjust the day-to-day operations for the new power plant facility, which is a combined cycle power plant (CCPP), at the Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (NSGB). As such, DCO will operate and maintain Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Plant Auxiliary Equipment, Solar Arrays and Emergency Generators.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Under the general direction of the Plant Manager, performs a variety of moderately complex administrative and HR duties. The Administrative/HR Assistant will provide assistance in accounting,
purchasing, human resources, inventory control and document control.
Essential Functions
(list all functions that must be performed in order to do the job, includes the following, other duties may be assigned as needed).
- Perform administrative duties for the site staff such as being the primary point of contact between the executives and internal/external clients. Compiles, edits and assists in the preparation of special reports, studies and correspondence as directed.
- Administers plant payroll system including analyzing time sheets, solving payroll problems and discrepancies and interfacing with payroll manager as required for smooth operation of the payroll system.
- Assists as necessary in screening, hiring applicants for positions including employment verifications, reference checks, etc.
- Learn and operate all aspects of the computerized maintenance management software program including data entry, inventory, requisition and purchase order processes.
- Provide support for the plant warehouse, including inventory control and maintaining purchasing records.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and resolve any billing issues
- Develop and carry out efficient documentation and filing system for both paper and electronic records
- Assist employees with any Human Resource-related issues that arise
- Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as directed, such as purchasing office supplies and equipment and other related office.
- Ensure operations adhere to polices and regulations
- Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent experience. Three (3) years' experience in clerical/secretarial responsibilities. Ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Proficiency with
Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel or similar software. Demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting principles.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to perform mathematical calculations. Demonstrated accurate typing/work processing abilities, operating information transmission equipment, plus the ability to apply office procedures and company policies.
DCO Energy is approved by the POEA to hire Overseas Filipino Workers through PARMAN INC for work at the U.S. Naval Base - Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
