The Import Officer is responsible for checking and processing import/export documentation for both materials & supplies and raw materials. It is also responsible for processing couriers and brokerage import billing (including domestic transfer requests) as well as attending to concerns of buyers for import/export.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the monitoring of billing process and examines duty/Value Added Tax computation
  • Prepares Request for Check Payment (RCP) for courier inbound charges, broker service charges, and port charges.
  • Reviews shipping documents & ensures the accuracy of import/export documentation for both M&S and billets
  • Ensures the efficient domestic transfer of goods and processes documentation and other port charges
  • Ensures the supervision of staff belonging to the department
  • Ensures the preparations, checking, consolidation and submission of work-related reports
  • Ensure that the shipments are in compliance with customs regulations.
  • Knowledgeable in tariffs classification and incoterms.
  • Process necessary permits for import and export shipments.
  • Performs other related tasks assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of a degree in Customs Administration
  • Must have at least 2 years of related work experience
  • Knowledgeable in Customs processes & terminologies, Accounting, Shipping Incoterm, and Customs Law & Tariff
  • Must be willing to work at BGC, Taguig City
