Customer Service Representative

Roles and Responsibilities
- Facilitate the smooth running of the practice
- Provide secretarial support to the doctors including appointment bookings, billing, typing and liaising with external medical providers and law firms
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Processing Medicare claims and liaising with health funds and Medicare
- Competence in use of Microsoft
- Using patient management system and other electronic interfaces
- Managing telephones, voice mail system and email enquiries
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent people skills to relate well to patients and doctors
- A minimum of three years' experience as a Medical Secretary working for a medical specialist is essential
- Strong communication skills and a calm demeanour are essential
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Clear understanding of patient privacy and professional boundaries. Not discussing personal information with patients
- A professional, articulate manner and attire
