
Customs Broker – Importation Fresh Graduates

Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Customs Broker – Importation Specialist based in the Philippines to manage import transactions and serve as the key liaison between the company and third-party customs brokers. The role ensures full compliance with Bureau of Customs (BOC) regulations, efficient documentation flow, and seamless communication to support timely import clearance and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and third-party customs brokers, coordinating documentation and shipment clearance.
- Ensure all import documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Import Permit, etc.) is complete, accurate, and submitted to the broker in a timely manner.
- Monitor the end-to-end customs clearance process and follow up on the status of shipments with brokers and logistics providers.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Procurement, Finance, Warehouse) to gather accurate shipment details and ensure proper classification.
- Validate Harmonized System (HS) Codes and product descriptions in coordination with brokers to ensure correct duties and taxes.
- Assist in resolving customs-related issues (e.g., hold orders, red lane alerts, discrepancy notices) with the help of the third-party broker.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Philippine import regulations, including BOC rules, PEZA/Batangas/Clark Freeport zone regulations (if applicable), and other relevant agency requirements (FDA, DENR, DTI, etc.).
- Ensure proper filing and archiving of all import documents in compliance with BOC audit requirements.
- Track broker performance and provide regular reports to management on delays, issues, and KPIs.
- Participate in customs audits, post-entry corrections, and broker compliance reviews.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Licensed Customs Broker (Philippines) – required.
- FRESH GRADUATES
Skills:
- Strong understanding of BOC procedures, import laws, and related government agency permits.
- Proficient in trade documentation and tariff classification.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with coordination via email, calls, and occasional site visits to ports or customs offices.
- May require working beyond regular hours during shipment issues or peak periods.
Monday - Friday : 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM
Saturday : 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM
