A leading organisation in Taguig is seeking a Senior Human Resources Director to champion people strategies and drive organisational effectiveness at their Manila site. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape culture, foster employee engagement, and ensure the seamless execution of globally aligned HR initiatives tailored for local relevance.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and oversee local HR teams within matrixed reporting relationships in Manila to implement globally aligned human capital strategies that support business priorities.
  • Act as a cultural ambassador by modelling organisational values and fostering an inclusive workplace where all employees feel supported throughout their lifecycle.
  • Partner with local and global HR stakeholders, including Centres of Excellence, to assess the HR implications of business strategies and design effective people plans that drive organisational success.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by providing coaching, guidance on leadership effectiveness, and proactively addressing engagement and morale issues across the site.
  • Support workforce planning efforts in partnership with Finance, local and regional leadership, Talent Management, and global HR Business Partners to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Lead annual talent review processes, performance calibration sessions, and compensation planning activities in Manila to align with overall business objectives.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on organisation design initiatives aimed at enhancing team effectiveness and supporting long-term growth.
  • Champion employee engagement initiatives such as associate engagement tools, DEIB programmes, Business Resource Groups, Corporate Social Responsibility projects, or other relevant activities identified by the enterprise.
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine employment laws by collaborating with Legal and global compliance functions; represent the organisation at government forums including DOLE for successful closure on employment matters.
  • Collaborate with Total Rewards Centres of Excellence and external partners to design competitive benefits programmes; oversee communication, education, governance of wellness initiatives; manage leave of absence policies according to statutory guidelines.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience) is required for this position.
  • At least 15 years of broad-based HR leadership experience encompassing expertise across the entire employee lifecycle as well as strategic HR planning.
  • Deep knowledge of Philippine employment laws combined with awareness of current HR trends and proficiency in modern HR systems is essential.
  • Proven track record working within complex globally matrixed environments where collaboration is key to success.
  • Exceptional influencing skills coupled with consultative communication abilities that enable you to build trust across all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated capability as a strategic thinker who can translate business needs into actionable people plans while ensuring operational excellence.
  • Experience advising senior leaders on effective leadership practices as well as proactively addressing issues related to engagement or morale within teams.
  • Ability to guide workforce planning efforts collaboratively with finance partners; skilled at leading annual talent reviews and compensation planning processes.
  • Expertise in designing locally relevant benefits programmes together with Centres of Excellence; adept at overseeing wellness initiatives according to statutory guidelines.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining compliance standards by staying abreast of market practices, legal updates, conducting audits per government requirements.
