A Business Development Specialist helps a company grow by identifying new business opportunities, researching potential markets and clients, and developing strategic plans to convert leads into long-term partnerships. This role involves a mix of sales, marketing, and relationship management, often working closely with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, and product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and outreach (cold calling, emails, social media).
  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, product demos/presentations, proposals, negotiation, and closing.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs and tailor solutions to meet those needs.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with prospects and clients.
  • Consistently meet or exceed individual sales targets and KPIs.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities and pipeline updates in CRM software.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to support sales strategies and campaigns.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
