DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in preparing and processing PhilHealth claim forms and supporting documents for inpatient and outpatient cases.
  • Verify patient eligibility, membership, and benefit entitlement using the PhilHealth portal.
  • Coordinate with billing, records, and nursing departments for complete claim documentation.
  • Ensure timely submission of PhilHealth claims to avoid delays and denials.
  • Encode claim details accurately into the hospital's system or PhilHealth e-claims portal.
  • Monitor the status of submitted claims and assist in reconciling returned or denied claims.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of PhilHealth transactions and reports.
  • Assist patients and their relatives with inquiries regarding PhilHealth benefits and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with PhilHealth rules, hospital policies, and confidentiality standards.
  • Support the Billing and PhilHealth Officers in preparing periodic reports and audits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of any Business Administration, Accounting, or Health-related course.
  • With at least 6 months of experience in hospital billing or PhilHealth processing (preferred).
  • Knowledgeable in PhilHealth policies, benefit packages, and e-claims system.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
