Job Description

As a Restructuring and Recovery Analyst, you will assist in the day to day accounting and restructuring tasks under supervision of more senior staff.

Job Overview

Employment type: Full-time

Shift: Day Shift, Weekends Off

Work Setup: First Month: Fully onsite at SM Megatower (Ortigas) or JEG Tower (Cebu); From Second Month Onward: Hybrid setup - 3 days onsite, 2 days work-from-home (flexible schedule based on agreement with hiring manager)

The Qualifications We Seek

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Commerce (major in Accounting) or Law degree with an interest in insolvency
• 8 months to 2 years of demonstrated experience in insolvency and financial recovery, assessing insolvency risk, and realization strategies for asset recovery
• Experience in dealing with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission
• Solid understanding of BAS/IAS processes and core accounting principles, including debit and credit handling
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Preferred:

• CPA or equivalent certification
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Your Daily Tasks

• Oversee the preparation of receipt authorities, payment authorities, day-one investigation letters, and statutory forms
• Conduct investigations on assigned engagements
• Assist in the trade-on operations of a business
• Perform stocktakes of company goods
• Prepare reports for submission to ASIC
• Assist in drafting letters of demand
• Prepare reports for creditors and other stakeholders containing statutory information
• Draft correspondence and serve as the main point of contact for creditors, employees, directors, and other stakeholders
• Assist in realizing assets of the company or individual
• Analyze company financials
